Six Flags White Water in Marietta, GA is a great family water park. From the lazy river to the Tornado and from the splash pad to the wave pool, there is something for the whole family.
Here are some of my suggestions for an epic Six Flags White Water Marietta experience.
Drop down the tallest slide at the park
Experience Dive Bomber with this record-breaking excitement as you free-fall down 10 stories. It’s the most unnerving rush of the summer as you step inside an enclosed launch capsule and wait for the door to drop open beneath your feet.
Become a first-place champion
Wahoo Racer allows you to compete against your friends in the greatest contest of the summer! Race head-first on a six-lane course to the finish line. You’ll glide over hills and rush down airtime drops on your way to the splashy finish.
Learn to surf
The 700,000 gallon Atlanta Ocean Wave Pool allows you tackle the ocean waves. You’ll discover every size wave you need to turn into a pro, beginning with the shallow waves and working your way until you reach the four-foot peaks. Surge with each wave in a raft or tackle it free-style to body surf like the pros.
Get dunked with 5,000 gallons of water
Tree House Island has hundreds of interactive water elements to discover. There are scalable platforms, gushing fountains, and twisty slides around every bend. The main feature is the enormous 5,000 gallon bucket nestled on top. This gigantic pail fills up with water throughout the day and tips over when it’s full. Maybe you’ll be lucky enough to be standing below when it spills over.
Go river rafting
A beloved summer pastime is going white water rafting and you can enjoy it without leaving the park! Bahama Bob Slide leads you on an unforeseeable drift down the mountain river. You’ll splash through wild waves and bend around sheer curves, getting drenched with every turn.
Face your fear of the dark
Journey the unknown on Black River Falls. Rush down slippery open-topped drops before darting into a blacked out tunnel. You’ll drift up the walls of every unseen turn, only led by the tiny twinkling lights. You don’t know what’s waiting for you at the end of your journey!
Relax for awhile
It’s summer holiday and you want to make sure to slow down the pace and relax. Set afloat on the Little Hooch River and the current will do all the work. You’ll just drift around the park, meandering through the trees and passing under bridges. Snatch a tube and lay back as long as you want.
Brave a storm
Long sunny summer days, but you can beat the intermittent storm at White Water park in Marietta. Whirl around with the fierce waters of the Tornado. You’ll whoosh around a giant funnel, gliding up the exorbitant walls and splashing around in the eye of the storm. Plus, spin around a massive bowl like you’ve been scooped up by the winds of Typhoon Twister. You’ll spin around the over 60 foot wide hollow bowl and shoot out a corkscrew bowl at the bottom.
I hope my list of things to do at Six Flags White Water in Marietta inspires you to take a break this summer and relax with your family.
